While the spouses, parents and minor children of United States citizens are eligible to apply for immigrant status immediately on approval, all other family members must wait until visa numbers are available. As the number of applicants each year exceeds the quotas set by Congress, many of them will have to wait several years before they can apply. To see which dates are currently processing, please check the Department of States Visa Bulletin.
If you believe you are able to file a family-based petition, or have a family member who could file for you, please contact us for an evaluation.
